Welcome to Anthropparel
Hey Everyone,
Welcome to the new Anthropparel.com blog.
This blog’s here to keep you posted on what’s going on with us. So, alas, Anthropparel is a clothing that incorporated on 06/06/06. As of right now we are in the process of creating T-shirts, but depending on the success of them, we will continue the label with hoodies, golf tees, sweatshirts and maybe even denim (though I’m not getting ahead of myself).
Who We are:
I, Nick Field, am founder of Anthropparel. I tend to take care of more business side of things. Laura McCarthy, my partner, is the driving force of this extremely small company. As of right now we have an exclusive artist Matt Billington (Billie!) but we’re open to new designs and concepts at a later time.
The Name:
Anthropparel is a name derived from two words, Anthrop, (Latin anthropo-, from Greek anthrOp-, anthrOpo-, from anthrOpos : human being - anthropogenic) (Marriam-Webster)
and
Apparel (personal attire : CLOTHING) (Marriam-Webster)
The name was inspired from Laura McCarthy, Chris Schulz and my degree in Anthropology from York University.
About Anthropparel.com:
The site is designed here to help you govern the label. This blog is designed to keep you up to date with what the company is doing and the direction that it’s going. Though the site is far from a full launch, I do have paper prototypes made of it and appreciate any design tips, features and expertise you can offer to make this site as cool as it needs to be.
So, with that in mind check back, because we will be regularily updating the blog. We’ll let you know of a Launch date as soon as possible.
We strongly encourage your input.
Nick and Laura
